Among many destinations , “NAAGBERAN” is one such breathtaking and drilling destiny .
“NAAGBERAN” is situated only 50 kilometers away from Tral town and 35 kilometres from Aripal tehsil of Tral. The road connectivity is upto ‘Preuwan Gaam’ Village. The rest of distance can be crossed by foot to reach the breathtaking place.
The total area of this “NAAGBERAN” resort is 64 sq.kilometres.
From preunwan gaam Village , A rough and slopy track leads to the First stage of its travel called as ” TAETHBAL” .
” TAETHBAL” place is full of miracles , Here the water droplets are oozing out from Rock pierce like the droplets of dew on the petals of Leaf with Tiptop sound. It’s magical like Euphonic sound is crooning like the wires of guitar and touches the tendons of Heart.
After walking a distance for half an hour , The place covered by most beautiful forests, lapped by bower of deodar trees , streams and untouched lakes called as “GAGYARD”. One can see scores of shepherds and herds from the top of this GAGYARD cliff Called locally as ” GUNASNAAD”.
The GUNASNAAD area holds a rich cover of vegetation, the dominant forest consisting of conifers which account for over 90%. The principal species are Cedrus deodara, Pinus griffithii, Abies pindrow, Aesculus indica etc. The major shrubs are Indigofera heterantha, Viburnum spp., Sorbaria tomentosa etc. the ground cover is very rich and dicotyledonus herbs dominate: Rumex patientia, Primula spp., anemone spp., etc.
Maharaja Hari singh during his reign used to visit this apex of GAGYARD , as There were many species of rare, endangered and protected species. The main species are hangul, musk deer, serow, brown bear, Leopard, rhesus macaque, grey langur, Himalayan mouse hare, etc.Maharaj also built huts there for visitors and sheds for Animals.
From GUNASNAAD , A plain but narrow track leads to a mini valley ” KASNIL WARDYAN” .This KASNIL WARDYAN valley somewhat resembles with the “BETAAB VALLEY” of pehalgam.
It’s dazzling beauty astonishes , the wandering like a cloud floating above GUNASNAAD and KASNIL WARDYAN valley, encounters a field of beautiful flowers of the valley, The dancing, fluttering flowers stretches endlessly along the shore of a stream called “DARYAAB”
At a distance of 10 km from this stream , DARYAAB , a zigzag path called as “KOUD HATEH” leads to another valley of flowers ” HOBUL PATHER” this valley also offers its own presence , HOBUL PATHER Valley is situated along the foothill of Majestic pirpanchal Range .
The foothills of Pirpanchal mountains provides the perfect introduction to the snows and their gentle forest-clad undulations lead the eye forwards to the back-ground of gigantic peaks which distance serves to increase, not
diminish in beauty.Hobul pather valley also reflects the majesty of Pir panchal range , From this valley a rough and tough and landsliding prone track ” KHAMBER” starts which climbs upto the TITANIC point of PiRPANCHAL . At this titanic point , almost 7 disciples of Hazrat AMEER -E -KABEER are burried there.
This Apex of Pirpanchal is getting to see the marvelous scene of two famous “Sar’s/ springs”
“TARSAR & MARSAR”.
TARSAR spring is considered as a big draw for flock of people, A live wire like energetic, A bolt from the blue like unexpected piece of land and a far cry and notably different from the rest of parts of valley. Though springs are common in Kashmir but what makes this one distinct is its setting. It gushes out from the foot of a Pirpanchal mountains as it rises vertically high up.TARSAR has blue waters , known for its chastity and pristine waters. the spring has water sweeter than the nector , vivid like pearl and gushes like brownian and sings in a soft and sentimental like Croon.The two springs “TARSAR & MARSAR with blue and black waters makes their appearance magical , as the two are seperated by a mountainous cliff “KALHOE MOUNTAIN, covered with KALHOI Glaciers locally called as ” BRAADEH MOUJ”.
The waters of both springs gushes along the foothills of PIRPANCHAL via HOBUL PATHER valley and combines with the waters of one more chasting spring called as ” MUNWARSAR” at a place which is fulll of conifers and lapped in the bower of Deodar trees called “LIDDER WAET” Or
“GUNJ” , andgushes out as the “LIDDER “river of Pehalgam through AARO valley
