Srinagar, July 19: Tral _Satoora road is the only way which connects all the upper reaches of northern part of Tral and its widening and constructive measures have started in the year 2015 but its work goes on snail’s pace and people of the area have aimed many times to complete it as soon as possible but no action has been taken so far.
The work has been intermittently stalled due to unknown reasons and every department related to the road just bullying us.
The aim of this road was to revive tourist attraction as Tral is known for it’s natural beauty and health resorts such as Nagbaren, Chumnai, famous lakes Tarsar Marsar and others along the foot hills of Himalayan mountain.
The “R&B department pinned the hope that the project will be completed within two or three years, but they have deluded us and almost 4 years have passed and not a half km is completed so far. Though department is going to macdamize the road from Nargistan to waged within two days but either side from Tral to Khangund construction of bunds and drains have done at intermittent places due to negligence. This has created more panic to passerbys and domestic animals.
After consulting number of times with AEE of R&B Mr. Zahoor Ahmad he said that the road is linked to different departments as they have not given any kind of nod to their plan of support so every department is playing hide and seek with us” said by locals and social activist and columnist Sheikh Arshid Ahmad.
The current condition of the road is totally in disrepair with number of patholes and standstill of electric poles almost in the center of road and no body from the concerned PDD department is taking a key note of this inconvenience. PHE department is also sailing in the same boat as they have not yet brought down the new water pipes into the road. Thus it has become reason of over all delaying in work completion.
Moreover the passengers are facing lot of difficulties as they can’t reach on time to their destination particularly the employees.
So it is requested to higher authorities that before going to macdamize the road construct bunds and drains on either side from Tral to Khangund wherever it is necessary so that road can become safe from hurrying flow of rainwater during heavy downpour and from the water flow of other dilapidated drains
