Kupwara, Mar 10: Two years after reshuffle, the education department has utterly failed to fill the vacant posts of Principal District Institute of Educational Training (DIET) and four Head of Departments (HOD) to tackle the administrative work and the flow of trainees invited for the training programs, thereby hampering the normal functioning.
According to wire service—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), an official said that the DIET is without Principal for second consecutive year and is craving for normal functioning in absence of four HODs.
An official said that after the reshuffle in department over two years back, the department has miserably failed to fill the vacant posts in the DIET, causing trouble to many.
The absence of Principal and HODs has not only halted the official administrative work but has affected the normal run badly.
Sources furthermore said that all the issues being faced by the DIET were brought in the notice of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara which includes the absence of fencing since the complex is functioning alongside a road with number of vehicles passing through it on daily basis.
Meanwhile, Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kupwara Abdul Hamid Fani told—KNO that although DIET is not under his jurisdiction and the principal has to be appointed by higher ups with governments nod. “I have written to the department about it,” he said, adding that he has already sent a formal application to the higher ups regarding the absence of four HODs at the institute
