Says will work to strengthen the age old bond between communities in Sgr
Srinagar, March 18: The newly elected Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) district president for Srinagar Ashok Bhat on Wednesday said that he will work with zeal and full enthusiasm in the district to make the party more vibrant across the city. Bhat said that he was grateful to the party high command and BJP J&K chief Ravinder Raina And Shir Ashok Koul reposing a great faith and trust in him and that he will not let the party leadership down in any way.
In a statement issued here, Bhat, soon after taking the charge of district president BJP for Srinagar, said that BJP is the only party that feels the pain of people of Srinagar and will leave no stone unturned to resolve the issues of people of Srinagar, the summer capital, where people were always befooled by the regional parties on one or the other pretext. Bhat said time is over when people of Srinagar were being exploited on mere hollow slogans and that people are mature enough to understand the politics being played by every party.
Bhat said he will personally travel to Srinagar areas to take stock of the issues being faced by the people and ensure their timely redressal. He said he will also work for maintaining and strengthening the age-old bond of communal harmony and mutual trust and brotherhood between communities for which Srinagar is known for. He urged people of Srinagar to work with him shoulder to shoulder for a prosperous future and better tomorrow.
