Srinagar, Mar 6: Budgam administration demolished a residential structure owned by a retired top police official.
Official sources told Kashmir News Trust that Tehsildar Budgam Nusrat Aziz had received a number of complaints about a residential set erected by a retired police officer at Friends Colony Humhama.
The said police officer, Ghulam Ahmed Dar who retired as Deputy Inspector General had rented this residential set.
Tehsildar Budgam Nusrat Aziz told KNT that after inspection, complaints proved correct and accordingly, they demolished that one storey residential set, comprising bathroom, bedroom and kitchen. “It was erected illegally on state land and we demolished it,” she added.
