The transporters in Jammu, Ramban, Banihal fleece these passengers and charge hefty sums from them.

Sources told Kashmir News Trust that though transport department has issued a proper list directing transporters to charge fixed fare from passengers, but the Jammu, Dehli and Chandigarh based cab drivers have violated the norms and are looting these passengers at will.

“It is not only land transport but even airlines are fleecing passengers. These airlines have started taking advantage of the situation,” said Muhammad Rafi.
