COVID-19 Scare:  Div Com visits KU campus Zakura

Directs to put arrangements on ready mode, inspects functioning of Psychiatric Hospital


SRINAGAR, MARCH 28: The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Pandurang K Pole today visited University of Kashmir Campus at Zakura to review preparedness and arrangements in the institution for future exigency of COVID -19 suspects.

He inspected the campus and reviewed all facilities which are required for Coronavirus suspected persons as per advisory.

The Divisional Commissioner directed concerned to ensure all arrangements for Coronavirus suspects which include proper sanitation, fumigation, sensitization, adequate stocks of masks, Personal Protection Equipment, testing facilities, besides quarantine & isolation wards and other logistic support are in ready mode, for future exigency.

Later, the Div Com also visited Psychiatric Hospita at Badamwari Park Road, Kathi Darwaza to review normal functioning of the health institution.

The Divisional Commissioner inspected various sections of the hospital and inspected the functioning and delivery of health care facilities to the patients.

He was informed that hassle-free medicare facilities are available for patients in the hospital.

Pole directed concerned officers to provide best treatment to the patients round the clock on priority basis.

Director Health Services, Dr Sameer Mattoo, Principal GMC Dr Saima Rashid, Deputy Director Health Services and other concerned officers  accompanied the Divisional Commissioner.
