Road Turns a Field Day for Dogs

PATTAN, MARCH 20: Loads of cowdung, garbage and home wastage remains piled up all along the road stretch of Goushbugh, Magrapora and Sultanpora villages of north Kashmir Baramulla district.
Commuters, residents are against this, saying concerned authorities are not stopping them from pasting cow-dung and garbage on the roads here said a local resident ishfaq ahmad.
Everyday village women come early morning and throw cow dung by the road for drying out from Sunlight . When villagers pass the road they say we get bad smell while traveling by foot or in a car said another local Nazir ahmad.
Not only that women pool cow-dung here the other villagers also throw home wastage here which attracts the more dogs he adds.
Villagers say, when commuters see this thing always on roads from Goushbugh to Sultanpora they prefer to travel by the alternative road, which consumes lot of the time and much more fare .
Dogs from nearby areas are also seen wondering here due to this garbage and all, these dogs are often harmful for the old aged and young aged people . Several children of these villages have became prey to these dogs.
Residents seek authorities action against the people who pool garbage on the roads .
Local inhabitants have appealed the authorities to stop selfish villagers from putting waste products such as garbage, cow-dung, on roads here in this non-descriptive village.
In this regard when we contacted Tehsildar pattan he said that strict action will be taken against the people who through waste products and cowdung on roadsides.
