Anantnag, Mar 31: People in several areas of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district including Peth Dailgam, Pethbugh Schichen, Kamad Brinty Palpora, Damhal Koshipora and adjacent villages have polluted the roads by dumping heaps of garbage and cow dung on road sides. Locals of area have appealed authorities to identify the people and take action as per law against them.
Though the locals brought this issue into the notice of concerned department several times, but no action was taken till date.
According to locals of these areas, many households are putting heaps of garbage and other waste material on roadside posing threat to community amid COVID-19 pandemic.
The locals of Dailgam Pethbugh Kamad Brinty Shichen Palpora Koshipora Damhaal Hakura and adjacents have appealed to District Adminstration Anantnag take strict action against those households
When contacted, SDM, Dooru told KNT that strict action will be taken against those who dump garbage and animal waste along roadside in the district
