Awantipora, 31 March: Awantipora police distributed dry ration/ food among the 15 stranded migrant labourers families at Pampore who were in need of food and ration.
A police press release reads that “Government is providing free ration and accommodation to the stranded migrant labourers and general public of Police District Awantipora is requested to inform police through PCR Awantipora 01933-247369,7051404001,SHO Tral 9419072692, SHO Awantipora 9797231235, SHO Pampore 9596341973 and SHO Khrew 7006762003 about stranded migrant labourers in Awantipora area so that they they be provided with food and accommodation.”
Moreover, an official has said that 24 vehicles were seized today by the police for violating curfew orders in Pampore and Awantipora area.
He said that “people of Awantipora, Tral, Pampore and khrew are requested to stay inside and cooperate with law enforcing agencies for implementation of effective lockdown. Movement of vehicles without valid passes will be strictly dealt under law.”
