Srinagar, March 13: There were reports of rain & snow from many parts of Kashmir this morning. However, weather is likely to improve now & will stay mostly cloudy with chances of light – moderate rain & snow for another 24hrs over few places, said Kashmir_Weather. Weather is going to stay dry between 15th – 21st March.
He said, there were reports of moderate snowfall of around 2 – 8 inches from Shopian, Kulgam, Kokernag, Pulwama, Anantnag, Pahalgam & other parts of South Kashmir. Reports of snowfall were also received from Shalimar hills & Zabarwan mountains. Some upper reaches have received heavy snowfall during past 24hrs.
He also said, Srinagar recorded rains equivalent to 14.6 mm during past 24hrs.
Pahalgam, Kokernag & Qazigund recorded 11.2mm, 33.7mm & 39.4mm of precipitation respectively during last 24hrs.
Kupwara & Gulmarg recorded precipitation of 7.8mm & 8.6mm respectively, said he.
Gulmarg recorded around 4 inches of fresh snowfall & light snowfall was also reported from Baba Reshi & Tangmarg.
Reports of light snowfall have also arrived from Chrar-I-Sharief, Pakherpora, Tangdhar, Karnah, Uri & many other higher reaches.
He said, in Jammu region, there were reports of snowfall from Banihal, JawaharTunnel & few other places along Jammu & Kashmir national highway. Banihal as per reports recorded around 1 foot of fresh snowfall. Same was reported from JawaharTunnel as well.
He further said, Jammu, Banihal, Batote, Bhaderwah & Katra recorded 13.9mm, 39.6mm, 44.6mm, 50mm & 19.7mm of precipitation during recent 24hrs.
