Srinagar, 28 March: Incessant rains from last 30 hrs caused waterlogging in many areas of Srinagar & South Kashmir. Heavy rains were reported from all the plains, while as, higher reaches including Gulmarg & Sonamarg recorded moderate to heavy snowfall. Reports of snowfall were also received from parts of Kulgam & Shopian districts, Handwara & Tangmarg.
As per Kashmir_Weather, Srinagar received a rainfall of 37 mm during last 24 hrs, while Qazigund & Kokernag in South Kashmir received 36.4 mm & 39.2 mm rainstorm respectively for the same time. Kupwara district in North Kashmir recorded 47 mm of rain during the time.
Gulmarg recorded a precipitation of 36.4 mm in the past 24 hrs.
The minimum temperature during the night in Srinagar was 1.3 degrees Celsius. In Gulmarg it was minus 3.2 degrees Celsius. Kupwara, Qazigund, Kokernag recorded a low of minus 0.3, plus 7.2 & plus 2.7 degrees Celsius respectively.
Regarding Jammu, the Kashmir_Weather said, 65.6 mm of rainfall was recorded in recent 24 hrs. Banihal had 86.2 mm, Batote 133 mm, Katra 151.8 mm and Bhaderwah recorded 69.6 mm of downpour in the 24 hours.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir_Weather has predicted of more light to moderate rains over some places for next 15 hrs. Weather will but be better than the previous day, he added.
