Tral, March 11: People of Dar Ganie Gund Village of Tral suffer for lack of Transport facility.
The people of Dar Ganie Gund village of Aripal hemlet of Tral area are up in arms against the lack of proper transport facilities in the village.
“People who are hailing from villages of upper reaches of Tral have separate sumo service but it is an astonishment that only this village have become target of complete negligence and sufferings”, said The angry Residants while demanding the separate sumo service for the village.
The residents also complain being forced to hire expensive private transport facilities in case of emergencies.
Some residents say at times they have had to wait for more than two hours for a sumo to be able to travel between places in the area.
“We have already apprised the concerned authorities about our grievances but we continue to suffer,” said Tariq Ahmad Najar, a local resident of the village.
“Due to the lack of proper transport facilities, the students from the village especially female students many times miss the classes. Though the authorities are fully aware of the problems of the students in the area but they have failed to take any action in this regard,” Gh. nabi Lone , Lumberdar of the village said.
Locals said that the female students have to cross a kilometre to board for school but many times have to return from Aripal Drung Bus Stop due to overloading as they are unable to travel on rooftops of the buses or sumos.
The locals requested the higher authorities to personally intervene into the matter as early as possible so that people will not suffer more in future.
