Tral, March 11: Once regarded as a leading cellular company in Tral Hills before the arrival of Jio and the merger of Idea and Vodafone, Airtel is now facing flak from customers over its poor network services in the region.
The poor network connection of Airtel in upper reaches of Tral area of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district have come under severe criticism with the users, alleging it to be a reason of immense hardships.
The users said that Airtel tower’s are present in Hajin , Satura , Aripal and Gulshanpora villages but the range of the networks is limited to few distance only.
Residents of Dar Ganie Gund , Wagad , Syedabad Pastuna , Laribal ,Dharam Gund , Yangvani , Jawaharpora laam , Nagnaad , zesibal ,Soinar and Deodarpora said that they are not able to surf anything. “We have to come out of our houses to get the internet connected,” they added.
“Airtel claims in its advertisements that it has the fastest 4G network , But here in Upper Reaches of Tral, we barely can get even its 2G services,” criticised Residents of Dar Ganie Gund.
“Although The Airtel cellular tower is installed in our main tehsil Aripal , we are living in the vicinity of 500 metres of tower but we are unable to connect to internet .Network is extremely poor . How can such a service be given in today’s age of modern mobile connectivity “.
“Terming the Airtel Internet services in The area worst of all. every Airtel user feels bad because of its poor network and for me, , it is very costly to maintain two SIM cards as I cannot pay hefty amounts to maintain the two,” said Gh Mohidin one of the resident of Dar ganie gund village.
We are experiencing poor data speed and calling from several months despite making complaints from time to time and the result has been null till now.
The users later appealed to the higher ups of the cellular company to redress their genuine grievances at earliest.
Meanwhile mohammad Ilyas , Airtel technical team manager of the area , when contacted said that ” i will depute the team to the site to visualise the ground reality . We are trying our best to provide good and comfort services to our customers , we will take early and positive steps to mitigate the problems which the customers are facing”, He added .
