Shopian Police Arrested One Drug Peddler, Recovered 23 Bottles of Codeine         

Shopian, March 16:  In continuous efforts of J&K Police in its drive to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, today Shopian Police recieved an information through reliable source that one person namely Tariq Ahmed Malla S/O Abdul Jabbar Malla R/O Chotipora, Imamsahib was carrying illegally Codeine bottles for its sale to the local youth of Imamsahib and it’s adjoining area.
On receipt of this information a police party  of Police Station Imamsahib established a naka on Imamsahib-DK Pora road near Chotipora Crossing and the said person who was carrying a bag on seeing police party tried to flee from spot but was tactically apprehended and during checking recovered 23 bottles of Codeine which the accused was carrying  for illegal trade .On this Case FIR No.06/2020 under relevent sections of Law has been registered in Police Station Imamsahib  and investigation is being carried out in this matter.

     The arrest and recovery was made by police party of PS Imamsahib led by SHO Imamsahib SI Naieem Rashid under the supervision of DySP Imamsahib Sh.Touseef Ahmed.
