SMC presses drones into service to sterilize native areas of Covid-19 patients

Srinagar, Mar 29, KNT: With every positive Covid-19 case emerging from Srinagar, the work of Srinagar Municipal Corporation doubles. The Corporation have created mobile sterilization teams that sanitize the native area of confirmed cases.

    SMC pressed drones into service to monitor the sterilization process in Ahmad Nagar of Srinagar outskirts, where a confirmed Covid-19 case of a couple emerged yesterday.

   “We started a decontamination operation at and around a 300 meters radius from the location of the positive case at Ahmed Nagar. Over 4 mobile teams sanitized the area. This process will continue in every native area of the confirmed case Srinagar,” a top SMC official told KNT.

  He said while sterilizing the area the numbers were painted on the roofs of the mobile units to help them monitor and coordinate in real time through drones and mobile command centers.

   SMC mobile teams also sanitized the native areas of other confirmed cases within the limits of Srinagar city.
