Sopore, Mar 30: With people hailing from low-income groups who are earning from “hand to mouth” with struggling to earn their daily bread, they are under distress during this countrywide lockdown. However, a Photo Journalist namely Peerzada Tahir of this North Kashmirs sopore town, has come forward for his support to his fellow villagers started home delivery of ration and other food items to the needy people to prevent the spread of Corona virus in the town here.
Peerzada had brought food items like rice, ata, tea, bread oil and Spices from his capacity and distributed them among the poor and needy in the town and its outskirt ares. “ I am trying to help poor people by giving some food items. Many people in our society are daily wage labourers and facing a lot of problems during the lockdown period. I have to help them in this crucial time,” Peerzada told Kashmir Despatch.
Pertinent to mention here, As part of the country’s continued preparation and response for COVID-19, the various Orginsations, Businessmans and Individuals had intensified the helping hand drive to combat the outbreak and spread of coronavirus disease in Kashmir.
While talking with this Kashmir Despatch Correspondent for future efforts, peerzada said that today I have make an Orginsation under the banner of ” Helping Kashmir” and its main principal and efforts will only to reach out the needy who are facing hardships during such uncertainty.
The photo Journalist further told Kashmir Despatch that “With the spread of novel coronavirus, there is a sense of uncertainty among the population, as many are not sure what measures to take to safeguard themselves and their family. To this effect, I have been constantly updating the public with all relevant information during this pandemic through various platforms. These initiatives are to ensure that the individuals do not become unwitting carriers of the virus and are well informed about the various preventive measures to be adopted.
