Srinagar, March 21: JKWP president Mir Junaid appeals LG to postpone all exams, tendering process and extension
in registration forms
Srinagar: Amid preventive measures for containing of corona virus are being taken across the
country, students who have qualified NEET exams have been asked to register for Provisional
Merit List (PML) till 22nd of March 2020.
“I was supposed to register for PML but due to slow internet I couldn’t upload the documents.
Moreover due to restrictions in valley, internet cafes are also shut as a preventive measure to
spread containing of corona, we request the BOPEE to kindly extend the last dates for
registration,” said a student who is supposed to register herself for PML.
Meanwhile, Jammu Kashmir Workers Party President, Mir Junaid appeals Lieutenant Governor
of JK to help the students in times of Covid-19 and pass necessary directions for extension in
registration of the last dates of various competitions including NEET.
He further added that all exams, tendering process, and other things needs to be postponed amid
threats of this serious virus.
“Our government is working very seriously to contain the spreading of corona virus and we are
hopeful that JK administration will be able to stop this virus by various preventive measures
which have already been kept in place.” Said Mir Junaid.
He further added, “I request to the Hon’ble LG of JK and BOPEE authorities to pass necessary
directions for extension in last date of PML registrations to contain spreading of covid-19.”
“The tendering process and all other exams that are supposed to happen in coming days also
needs to be postponed and we urge authorities to look into the matter on urgent basis.” Added Mir Junaid
