Kashmiri PhD scholars stuck in indore demand evacuation
Srinagar, April 06: More than 50 PhD Scholars from Kashmir on Monday appealed J&K administration to facilitate their return from Indore, Madhya Pradesh in wake of COVID-19 outbreak.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the scholars said they are in distress as no one came to their rescue so far.

They appealed authorities to ensure a special air service for Kashmir based students studying in several parts of country so that they can return to Valley.

They added that students are voluntarily willing to keep themselves in quarantine after arrival for safety of entire community.

Scholars said the concerned university has been closed in view of Covid-19 and they are stuck and can’t move outside as all roads are sealed and closed, besides suspension of air services.

A Phd Scholar Suraj-ud-Din Mir appealed government of Jammu and Kashmir to help them and facilitate their return to their native places.

The scholars also said that their locality has become epicenter for the covid-19 and few people in their locality have been tested positive.

They said they are getting distressed in every passing day and demands their early evacuation.

They appealed Lieutenant Governor G C Murmu to intervene into and ensure their return in troubled times
