Mysterious blast near encounter site leave many civilians injured

Kulgam, Apr 27: At least six persons were injured after a shell went off near encounter site at Lower Munda Qazigund area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

   Sources told KNT that a large number of people visited encounter spot after it culminated. The encounter had left three militants dead, two among which reportedly hail from South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

   Sources added as the people were busy in checking encounter site, an explosive substance went off, resulted in the injuries of six persons. All the injured were shifted to nearby hospital.

  Sources said that among the injured one Sameer Ahmed Beigh from Lower Munda suffered critical injuries. Four injured hail from Lower Munda, one each from Bhadragund and Saidawar.

  Some of the injured have been identified as Mehran Ahmed, Zubair Ahmed, Akash Ayoub and Khurshid Ahmed.

  SDPO Qazigund while confirming the incident told KNT that 4 persons were injured in a mysterious blast near encounter site at Lower Munda.
