Police refutes the claim of big theft
Bandipora, April 18, CNS: while an owner of the shop remained overtaken by the misery and was undergoing pain and agony, burglars broke in his pharmacy store in Hajin area of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district during the intervening night of Friday and Saturday and decamped with cash, medicines.
Reports received by CNS from the area said that a pharmaceutical store namely ‘Zahid Brothers’, adjacent to community Health center Hajin was looted in a burglary incident in which the thieves took away with them medicines and cash worth 50000 rupees.
Zahid Khalil Shah, owner of the pharmacy store said that when he was attending his ailing wife at SKIMS Soura, where she is battling for her life suffering from heart ailment, declared incurable by the doctors. the incident has shocked him and his family owing to the present scenario. Zahid, who has been left high and dry, termed the incident as ‘unfortunate’ and demanded Justice.
Meanwhile, SHO Hajin termed the incident a mere rumour and said that only lock of a medical shop has been broken there is no sort of any big theft.
Pertinently, this is the 2nd incident of its kind , during the prevailing COVID-19 outbreak, as a couple of weeks ago ,a quarantined family in the same tehsil was looted in a nocturnal burglary incident and while everyone was running for life and fighting epidemic.
