“ We saw a police van driving around our area announcing people to avoid gatherings” said one of the local resident of Qamarwari.
On Saturday , some markets, banks remained open to facilitate the availability of essentials.
One of the top police officials told KINS that people across the Srinagar district cooperated with the police very well and it is hoped that they will cooperate today on the Eid day  as well, adding that  while all essential services will be allowed to operate as per existing norms, all other commercial and other activities will be prohibited.
