Karnah, May 23: The army’s Shakti Vijay brigade celebrated the Teetwal day at the Line of control in Teetwal karnah.
Teetwal day is being celebrated on may 23 every year to commemorate the liberation of karnah valley from Pakistan raiders in 1948 when the town of Teetwal was recaptured by valiant Indian army troops.
In this year GOC OF Vajr Div, Maj Gen Ads Aujla ,SM, VSM along with commander of Shakti Vijay Brigade laid wreath to pay homage to the Indian forces & Awam who made the supreme secrifice to forces withdrawal of Pakistani’s across Kishan Ganga river in 1948.
The wreath laying was followed by felicitation of veer Naaris by chairperson , family welfare organization. Vajr division and awami Mulaqat . The Goc during Mulaqat tangdar a Covid free and aman parast area The day is observed in memory of soldiers who secrificed their lives while fighting against raiders in 1948
