Ganderbal, June 30: Government High school Surfraw zone Hariganiwan an area of tehsil Gund in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district functions in a temporary Shed after it was gutted in a fire incident in year 2017. Since then student are waiting for permanent building.
According to locals and students, they have to face immense hardships due to lack of building for the school.
A teacher who teaches in the school talking to this reporter over phone said, “We are facing lot of problems from last three years due to the lack of school building, we have 300 students on roll, how is it possible to teach all the students in a temporary tin shed.”
“We have raised the issue many times with concerned authorities but in vain.” He added.
The reporter attempted to contact Chief education officer Ganderbal but couldn’t.
The Parents and students have appealed the conceded authorities espically DC Ganderbal to look into the matter.
