Srinagar, June 18: Jammu Kashmir Workers Party President, Mir Junaid,
met the Advisor to lieutenant Governor, Baseer Ahmad Khan and
apprised him about their problems and various issues pertaining to the
Mir raised the issues of Panchs, Sarpanchs, electricity availability in rural
areas, over all macdamisation in towns of JK districts, maintenance of
sports grounds under Rural Development consideration, extending the
tender license of parking by one year, tour and travels, waiving of
electricity and water bills to AAY, BPL and APL ration card holders,
separate space to grocery vendors and other issues of tour and travels,
tourism and handicraft industry.
Mir also apprised the advisor that people are facing many difficulties and
public hearings be announced to listen people and solving their issues.
Mir junaid requested Advisor for security of Panchs and Sarpanchs
besides hike in their honorariums so that they would be able to serve the
Advisor Khan assured Mir Junaid that the demands will be addressed on
priority and public hearings will be announced besides the remaining
issues will be taken up with Lieutenant Governor, J&K.
The Advisor assured full support from the Government and said Govt is
committed to work with the people and address their genuine problems
in time bound manner.
