Srinagar, July 3: Barely 15 minutes after the protest against Nordal Officer for Coronavirus, authorities transferred five employee protesters at Rainawari Hospital Srinagar.
Health Employees Union at JLN Memorial Hospital here in Rainawari staged a protest against incumbent Nodal Officer for Coronaviurs Dr Bilquese alleging that she has been behaving like a ‘dictator’ and pursuing ‘anti-employees’ policies.
The protesting employees under the leadership of president Health Employees Union JLN Memorial Hospital Javaid Ahmed assembled in the premises of the hospital and raised slogans against Dr Bilquese. They alleged that the said Nodal Officer humiliates and insults everyone in the hospital while the height of her ‘arrogance’ is that she didn’t permit a Covid-19 infected employee to get admitted in the same hospital.
“One of our Pharmacists was tested positive for Covid-19. We appealed Nodal Officer to get that pharmacist admitted in the Rainawari hospital so that we can take care of him as we care for other Covid-19 patients. The Nodal Officer directed one Dr Tasaduq to get the Pharmacist admitted at CD Hospital and don’t bring him back to Rainawari Hospital,” the protesting employees said.
They said that the Nodal Officer is habitual of humiliating health employees in the hospital and when they informed Director Health, he assured action.
The protesting employees also alleged Chief Medical Officer Budgam Dr Tajamul Hussain of misbehavior. “Dr Tajamul threatened us of dire consequences in case we protest against Dr Bilquese. He told us that he is very close to Director and will get us transferred,” protesters told KNT.
President Health Employees Union Javaid Ahmed said that barely 15 minutes after the protest, five employees were transferred by the Directorate of Health Service Kashmir. “Besides me, our Vice President Mehraj Rather, General Secretary Zahid Ahmed, Farooq Haqaq and Mehraj Bhat have been transferred,” Javaid Ahmed said.
