Srinagar: Whenever I see this elderly man it rejuvenates hope in me.
A hope that we have to strive even if everything goes against us. A hope to never give up. A hope that Allah will provide sustenance from the unexpected ways.
This peanut vendor installs his minor stall at Bohri Kadal in Srinagar and stays there in all circumstances.
There are thousands like him in this world who leave their dwelling places early in the morning with a hope that they will earn livelihood & feed their families.
In this pandemic, it’s becoming much more difficult for these vendors or hawkers to make their ends meet.
We can make a big difference by spending some bucks and buy their products so that they earn a small amount out of it which will bring gentle smiles on their faces like I saw on the face of this old man.
We spent hundreds of rupees on junk food in a day for our children, what if we spent some portion of it by buying the things from these poor vendors or hawkers and become their hope.
Let’s make it our moral obligation from now onwards.
