Srinagar, July 3: Jammu Kashmir Awami Majlis-e-Amal (J&K Awami Action Committee) has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of renowned religious figure of South Kashmir and Imam and Khateeb of Jama Masjid ‘Raahat Dedi’ Islamabad, Moulana Mubarak Sahib who passed away today.
The Majlis-e-Amal termed the demise as a big loss to the religious fraternity and those associated with the Daawat-o-Tableegh.
The Majlis-e-Amal while paying rich tributes to Moulana Mubarak for his invaluable contribution in the field of Islam and propagation of Daawat-o-Tableegh recalled that the organisation head Mirwaiz-e-Kashmir Dr Moulvi Muhammad Umar Farooq -who continues to be under house arrest since August 5, 2019 – like his predecessor Mirwaizeen, has graced his presence at this Jama Masjid Islamabad on special invitation by the late Moulana Mubarak Sahib and the people of Islamabad; and delivered Waaz-o-Tableegh here.
The Majlis-e-Amal has expressed heartfelt condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family of Moulana Mubarak Sahib and those associated with the Jama Masjid Islamabad, besides prayed for highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous for the deceased.
In this connection, the Jammu Kashmir Awami Majlis-e-Amal’s district president, general secretary and other members of Islamabad participated in the last rites of Moulana Mubarak Sahib and expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family by paying a visit to their house.
Meanwhile, the Majlis-e-Amal has also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of a renowned advocate and owner of Hotel Orion Lal Chowk, Advocate Muhammad Ashraf Shah of Gojwara, Srinagar.
The organisation while paying glowing tributes to Adv Shah for his contribution towards the ongoing movement and for his social services expressed condolence and solidarity with the bereaved family and strength for them to bear this irreparable loss. It also prayed to Almighty Allah to accept the good deeds of the deceased and grant him highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
