Srinagar, July 29: Bike lifters continue to strike stealing parked motor-cycles in Kashmir Valley. During the intervening night of July 28 and 29 vehicle lifters stole two motor-cycles in Srinagar and Anantnag.
Police sources told news agency KNT that a motor-cycle (JK01AB/7358) was stolen from New Colony Lal Bazar area of Srinagar. The owner Suhail Ahmed Zargar had parked it in his court yard.
Police have registered a case in this regard.
Another motor-cycle having chasis number was stolen in Anantnag. The stolen motor-cycle was owned by one Muzafar Ahmed Zargar son of Gulzar Ahmed, a resident of Chee Anchidora. Police Station Anantnag has registered a case in this connection.
As already reported, vehicle lifters are active these days, stealing parked motor-cycles, Scootys and vehicles from different districts of Kashmir. Dozens of vehicles and motor-cycles have been stolen so for.
At least two to three such incidents are being reported every day in Valley. A day before lifters stole the tyres of a truck in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
