Srinagar, 03 July: Most parts of Kashmir will not get relief from the scorching heat for another 24 hours as the temperature is likely to stay above 3 – 5 degrees above normal against season’s average, predicted Kashmir Weather on Friday.
As per the Kashmir Weather, Srinagar recorded this season’s highest day temperature at 34 degrees Celsius which is 4 degrees above normal.
Pahalgam recorded maximum temperature of 28.6 degrees Celsius which is 4 degrees above normal.
Qazigund & Kokernag recorded high temperatures of 33.2°C & 31.8°C – which is 6 & 5 degrees above normal – respectively.
Kupwara & Gulmarg recorded maximum temperatures of 34.6°C & 25.2°C respectively.
Regarding Jammu region, Kashmir Weather said, Jammu city recorded a maximum temperature of 40.4 degrees Celsius which is 4 degrees above normal.
Bhaderwah, Batote, Banihal & Katra recorded maximum temperatures of 34.3°C, 29.5°C, 32.2°C & 37.0°C respectively.
The present hot weather conditions are likely to continue over parts of Kashmir for another 24 hours, Kashmir Weather said adding that few parts may receive thundershowers tomorrow but most parts are likely to receive rains & thundershowers on Sunday.
