Bandipora working journalists association held elections

Inayat Hajini elected as president of Bandipora Working journalists association


Bandipora, Aug 26: The Bandipora Working Journalists Association, (BWJA), under the supervision of senior journalist Sahil Nazir and Haroon Nabi, held its yearly general body election for 2020 on Wednesday, at Dak Bangalow Sumbal Sonawari.
Inayat Hajini of ANN was unanimously elected President, Zahoor Bhat of Gulistan TV as Vice president, Sajid Rasool of ETV Bharat as general secretary and Mubashir Rasool of JKAC was elected the Treasurer of the association.

According to news agency Kashmir Dot Com- (KDC) speakers on this occasion expressed gratitude to the participating journalists for making the elections a grand success and resolved to strengthen the association, besides to fight for freedom of the press at all levels.
On this occasion, the Bandipora based journalists vowed to help in solving the grievances of locals and issued an appeal to the people to contact “The Working Journalists Association Bandipora” in case of their genuine grievances, with its head office at Irrigation Colony Sumbal.

Meanwhile, SDM Sumbal and other officers of the district congratulated the association for holding their 2020 elections. (KDC)
