Srinagar, Aug 18: COVID-19 on Tuesday claimed 13 more lives in Kashmir, thus taking the toll of deaths due to Novel Coronavirus in Jammu and Kashmir to 572.

An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that 13 patients who die today include a 55-year-old woman from Gulab Bagh Srinagar, a 55-year-old woman from Makhama Magam, a 65-year-old man from Bandipora, a 70-year-old woman from Chadoora Budgam, a 65-year-old man from Tregam, a 55-year-old woman from Ompora Budgam, a 90-year-old woman from Choon Budgam,  a 70-year-old man from Handwara, a 65-year-old man from Handwara Kupwara, a 65-year-old woman from Gopalpora Anantnag, a 65-year-old man from Ashmuqam Anantnag, a 55-year-old man from Nowpora Akhran and a 70-year-old man from Shangus Kreeri Anantnag.

An official from JVC Bemina said that a patient from Gulab Bagh who was admitted on 09 August and a patient from Makhama Magam who was admitted on 15 August died on Tuesday.

An official from SMHS said that a patient from Bandipora admitted few days before, a patient from Chadoora Budgam admitted with bilateral pneumonia few days before, a patient from Tregam Kupwara who was admitted on 11 August, a patient from Ompora Budgam who was admitted on 16 August and a patient from Choon Budgam admitted on 16 August died at SMHS.

An official from SKIMS Soura said that a patient from Handwara who was admitted on 14 August died on Tuesday.

An official from CD hospital Srinagar said that a patient from Handwara who was admitted on 11 August died on Tuesday.

An official from GMC Anantnag told KNO that a four patients one each from Gopalpora, Ashmuqam, Nowpora Akhran and Shangus Kreeri who were undergoing treatment from last few days died at GMC in last 48 hours.

With 13 more deaths, the death toll in Jammu and Kashmir has reached to 572 including 531 from Kashmir division and 41 from Jammu division.
