Locals mulling to approach Anti-corruption Bereau
Srinagar, Sep 25: Jammu and Kashmir Bank business unit Ajas of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district has been made hub of nepotism, favouritism and large scale bunglings have surfaced since past few months.
Sources privy to the Business unit Ajas revealed to news gathering agency Kashmir Dot Com-(KDC) that large scale bunglings and misappropriation of loan schemes are at it’s peak and in the grab of COVID19 pandemic the officials at the helm of affairs have become dictators and have made the business unit their private estate.
Sources also said that two employees namely Rouf Ahmad and Mohd Afzal of the aforesaid branch have made the unit captive.
“These two are granting loans to their blue-eyed one’s without following proper procedure and any documentation while as the deserving and otherwise eligible beneficiaries are denied or they are being avoided on the pretext or the other.
Sajad Ahmad, a medium business man by profession told news agency KDC that he has drawn CC loan amounting to rupees 3 lakh some months before, he according to him is neither a defaulter nor his account is any discrepancy. Besides following all codal formalities for his additional 5-6 lakh loan sort by him to improvise his business he is being grilled and facing delaying tactics on the part of Bank Management.
He asserted that the action on the part of the business unit is against his consumer rights and manager is enjoying self-sanctioned vacation and is absconding from his office since past so many days.
Sources also said that there are large scale misappropriations in Agro term loans being granted to irrelevant and ineligible consumers which tantamounts to rob Peter and pay Paul.
Meanwhile, Locals are mulling to approach Anti-corruption Bereau to unearth the scams for which according to them they have sufficient documentary proofs.
When contacted by KDC Branch Manager Ajas refused to comment on this issue. (KDC)
