Kupwara, Sep 07: Security forces have intensified and expanded the searches in the Warnow forest area to re-establish contact with the militants who earlier exchanged gunfire within the area on Saturday and fled.
Talking to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Senior Superintendent of police Kupwara, Shriram Ambarkar said that the searches have been expanded and further details will be shared accordingly.
Security forces and militants exchanged gunfire at Dana Behak in the Warnow area of Lolab on Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday, the SSP had told KNO that there was no fresh update from the spot while more reinforcement was rushed to the encounter site.
