Anantnag, Sep 7: Authorities Monday allowed Peoples Democratic Party leader Sartaj Madni to visit his native village for a short period of time.
Madni is facing house detention since August 5 last year, when Government of India annulled special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
Madni was also one of the leaders who was booked under contentious Public Safety Act. Sartaj Madni is currently lodged at Housing Colony Khanabal area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
Sources told news agency KNT that Madani left from Housing colony Khanabal and visited his native Village of Akhran Nowpora for a short period of time and then returned back to Housing colony Khanabal.
