PDP Felicitates Nazir ahmad khan and other newly nominated office bearers of Budgam district
Srinagar, October 19: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has urged the administration to make serious interventions to safeguard the interests of lacs of individuals who are directly or indirectly associated with the horticulture industry.
Speaking on the sidelines of a function to felicitate the newly nominated office bearers of the party for Budgam district, Party Vice President A R Veeri exhorted upon the authorities to initiate special measures to redress the issues faced by the ailing horticulture industry in the state.
“Horticulture industry is the backbone of our economy and is facing severe problems affecting lacs of people directly and indirectly. The undue delay faced in transportation & lac of market support interventions are further hitting the already ailing industry,” he said.
Addressing the gathering, Party general secretary G N Lone Hanjura impressed upon the newly nominated office bearers and the party carder in general to strengthen the party at grassroots level, take Madam Mehbooba Mufti’s message of unity for the fight of honor and dignity to masses.
On this occasion newly nominated office bearers expressed their gratitude to Miss Mufti and other party leaders for showing confidence and trust in them and pledged to work hard towards strengthening the party and accomplishing its pro-people agenda.
Senior party leaders who spoke on the occasion include Mohammad Khurshid Alam, Abdul Hamid Kosheen , Anjum Fazili Nazir Ahmad Khan, Fayaz Ahmad ,, Haji Pervez, Abdul Rouf bhat , Bashir Ahmad Beg apart from other senior leaders of Budgam district.
