Basit secured over 96% in NEET exam
Kashmir, 17 October: Hailing from Kashmir’s Pulwama district, 18-year-old Basit Bilal Khan has secured 695 marks out of 720 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020.
Talking to news agency Kashmir News Bureau, Basit said, “I started preparing for NEET exams from 11th class, cause we all know the exam includes the syllabus of 11th and 12th classes as well. I started coaching and regularly inquired about the ways to be well prepared for the exam with my teachers,” he said.
“I had not anticipated this result but I was well prepared and I tried my best to prepare for it from the very beginning so that even if I don’t crack the exam, I would not have any regrets about it in future,” He added.
He said that any student out there, who is trying to achieve the same or in any other field, I would suggest to conceive the framework of their goal and then work on it as much as possible, so at-least not to have any regrets regarding the efforts they put to achieve it.
He further said, “I believe everyone has a potential to achieve their goals and NEET is not the only important thing in the world, people have different objectives in life, and if you dedicate your time and focus on it, anyone can achieve it”.
“I spent most of my time away from home, obviously not aware about the difficulties my family may have faced in my absence, but we all know how a family works, they would handle it without bothering me, they surely didn’t want me to be distracted and always took great care of me and motivated me in every stage of life,” Basit said.
This year, of 15.97 lakh candidates registered, 13 lakh candidates appeared for the exam held at various centres. A total of 7,71,500 candidates have qualified the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020.
Delhi’s Akanksha Singh and Odisha’s Soyeb Aftab topped the NEET with a perfect score of 720.
