Srinagar, Oct 29: Hours after government ordered probe into sexual harassment charges against Director Health Services Kashmir, various female employees from Health and Medical Education Department have come in support of Dr Samir Mattoo.
Sources told news agency KNT that a couple of female employees have started garnering support for the accused Director Health and are holding meetings with other female employees.
A purported video shows how a female employee is trying to persuade some other women employees to talk ‘good’ about the incumbent Director. Some of the women employees can be seen saying something ‘good’ about the accused Director, saying he is ‘charactered’ who never forces anyone to visit his home.
In the initial seconds of the video, a woman employee can be seen objecting, saying they will talk about the issue when required.
Insiders told KNT that an employee officer who was accused of mismanagement and against whom a three members inquiry committee had been constituted in January this year is on the forefront and are garnering the support for the incumbent Director Health Services Kashmir.
Insiders added that some 16 female employees have signed a letter giving clean chit to the Director Health Services. Some of these employees are Nursing Orderly, Senior Assistants and others.
Pertinently, a female consultant has leveled serious charges of sexual harassment against incumbent Director Health Services Kashmir Dr Samir Mattoo in Lieutenant Governor’s Secretariat Office and a probe into the allegations has already been ordered.
