Locals appeal district admn for respite
Tral, Oct 8: The twin hamlets of South Kashmir’s Tral town of Pulwama district are facing lot of problem due to non availability of drinking water as lone water supply scheme of these two villages from Chandri Nallah has been disconnected by Department of Irrigation and Flood Control after it started repairing portion of said Nallah.
The two affected villages are Chandrigam and Baygund.
The locals told news agency KNT that bore wells of in these villages are already running dry due to extraction of building materials at an alarming rate from this Nallah.
The villagers lamented that the concerned department ignored their repeated pleas of making an arrangement so that they could get regular water supply.
They sought intervention of District Administration Pulwama.
