These are bogus claims says JKBOSE Official

Kulgam, 16 November: Students during 10th class exams were put through a distressing experience as the invigilator withheld their answer books for almost 40 minutes, said guardians of the students.

The event unfolded during a 10th class exam of subject Social Studies, which was held in OPI Nawaz Educational Institute Chawalgam Kulam, where some students were involved in some sort of unfair means and the exam invigilator decided to withheld the answer books of all the students present in the examination hall, for almost 40 minutes as a form of punishment.

A parent of one of a students said, “It is unfortunate that due to some students indulging in unfair means during the exam, was used as a reason to collectively punish all those in the hall.”

Another guardian of a student said, “This punishment is not less than a hellfire for a student who put their heart and soul into preparation of the exam.”

He added that his younger sister was unconscious for a long time at the intuition and when she came home, she was crying.

“She is still getting unconscious at times here at home and can’t really focus on the upcoming exams,” he said.

He added, “I have also sent a written application to the higher authorities but so far no action has been taken regarding the issue.”

When Kashmir News Bureau contacted Assistant Secretary JK Bose district Kulgam, Abdul Hameed Khan said, “yesterday, I was on duty at another centre but I did speak with concerned officials and they told me all these are bogus claims.”

He said, “I spoke with the concerned superintendent Mohammed Shafi, who told me that all these claims are fabricated and that he knows the rules and regulations very well.”
