J&K House at Prithviraj road, Shalimar bagh-New Delhi, guest at Amritsar, J&K Emporium at New Delhi to remain with J&K
Srinagar, Oct 31: The Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday apportioned immovable and immovable assets of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir between the newly carved union territories of J&K and Ladakh.
In an order, a copy of which lies with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) government said that all immovable assets belonging to the erstwhile state of J&K excluding those belonging to corporations/boards/other entities, except where explicitly provided for, stand apportioned between UTs of J&K and Ladakh based on their locations in the respective UTs on an “as is where is” basis.
The order states that the “right to usage” of 3rd floor of Block B, having suites, of J&K Guest House at Chanakyapuri shall remain with the J&K UT till 31st December, 2021 and after which it will be fully transferred to the UT of Ladakh.
The order further states that the J&K House at 5 Prithviraj Road in New Delhi, the Guest house, BRIL, Shalimar Bagh, New Delhi, the J&K Emporium at Baba Kharak Singh Marg, New Delhi, the Guest House at Amritsar and the property at SCO 28-31, Sector 17-A, Chandigarh shall remain with the UT of J&K.
“The H. No. 36, Sector 5-A, Chandigarh, Flat No. 32 Adamant Building, Mumbai, 11-Enginering Building 4th Floor, Sleater Road, Mumbai and all properties of LAHDC at Jammu and Srinagar shall remain with the UT of Ladakh,” it states.
According to the order the Guest Houses/Circuit Houses in the UT of J&K shall remain with the UT of J&K, but will be made available for use of officials of the UT of Ladakh as and when required.
It further states that all moveable assets belonging to the erstwhile state of J&K, excluding those belonging to Corporations/Boards/Other entities, which are location specific such as office equipment, laboratory equipment, office supplies, records, etc, except where it is explicitly provided for, stand assigned on an ‘as is where is’ basis and will be based on their locations in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh.
“All other immoveable properties located outside the erstwhile State and not mentioned specifically shall remain with the UT of J&K,” the order further states.
