Srinagar, Nov 16: After a brief lull, the Line of Control (LoC) on Monday evening again heated up as Armies of India and Pakistan exchanged heavy gunfire along Tangdhar sector of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Srinagar based Army Spokesperson, Col Rajesh Kalia said, “Pakistan initiated an unprovoked Ceasefire Violation along LoC in Tangdhar Sector, Kupwara District today evening by firing mortars & other weapons.”
He said that a befitting response is being given by the Indian Army to the ceasefire violation by Pakistan.
Meanwhile, there were no immediate reports of any loss or injury from the area, however heavy shelling from both sides was on.
Pertinently, On Friday ten people including Four soldiers were killed in an unprecedented Ceasefire violation along LoC in North Kashmir. (KDC)
