PDP shocked over Mudasir Ali’s demise

Mehbooba, others commiserate with bereaved family, pray for departed soul


Srinagar, Nov 20: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senior leadership on Friday expressed shock and grief over the demise of senior journalist Mudasir Ali, terming his death as tragic and untimely.

According to PDP spokesman, party President Mehbooba Mufti, Vice President Ab Rahman Veeri, General Secretary Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura, Naeem Akhtar, Suhail Bukhari besides senior functionaries have commiserated with family of Mudasir Ali at this hour of immense grief and sorrow.

The PDP leadership has highlighted Ali’s contributions in the field of journalism, stating that the young scribe will be remembered for his unique reporting style and fearless journalism. They added that the high quality news reports and features filed by Ali for various leading news organisations will act as an inspiration for the budding journalists of Kashmir for times to come.

The PDP leadership has prayed for peace to the departed soul and patience to the bereaved family members.
