Sopore, 25 December: Continuing its drive against the Drug peddlers and its propagators, Sopore Police arrested one notorious drug peddler.
Acting on an information Sopore Police placed a special Naka at Shabad near Main chowk sopore by Police Party of Police Station sopore headed by SHO Sopore Azim Khan and arrested one notorious drug peddler namely Abdul Hameed Bhat S/O Abdul Samad Bhat R/O Hygam Sopore and recovered 55 grams of heroine from his possession and also seized car i20 bearing registration number JK05H 9954 which he was using to supply drugs among the youth of Sopore.
Case FIR Number 358/2020 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act registered at Police Station Sopore and investigation has been taken up.
Our consistent actions against drug peddlers should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace. It is pertinent to mention that police station sopore has arrested 32 peddlers in the current year and will continue the mission till the eradication of this menace from town sopore.
