LAWDA demolishes commercial structure, seizes illegal construction material

Srinagar, Dec 31: The Enforcement Wing of Lakes and Waterways Development Authority today on 31.12.2020 conducted the demolition operation in the area of Chandpora Harwan, Lashkari Mohalla, Habak & Pohloo Brein which falls in LDA Jurisdiction. During the demolition drive, 03 double storey houses, one showroom & one plinth which were raised illegally by the violators, were demolished onspot. Moreover, illegally dumped material was also seized (sand/Bajri) in the area of Habak. Besides, legal action shall follow against the violators under law. Enforcement wing will continue with demolition of illegal constructions/ removal of encroachments. The public residing within the LDA jurisdiction & in lake are hereby once again directed not to go for any sort of illegal constructions / encroachments in case anybody found shall be dealt as per law.
