Poonch, Dec 12: A day ahead of polling, at least 11 polling stations were on Saturday evening affected in the shelling along the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote sector of Poonch, officials said.
Officials told the news agency (KNO) as many Poonch areas are going for polling tomorrow, Pakistan Army resorted to shelling along LoC in Balakote sector from 06:00 PM in the evening.
They said that at least 11 polling stations got affected in the shelling, adding that the polling staff are safe. “In case the shelling would continue, we have a contingency plan available so that the voting is not affected,” officials said.
