Srinagar, 03 Dec: The Meteorological department (MeT) here has predicted light to moderate rains and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir from Friday.

According to news agency Fast Kashmir Meterological center of Srinagar, moderate to light snowfall is likley to take place in Srinagar while intermittent rains are likley to take place in plains across Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) from Friday-Saturday.

“An active Western Disturbance is most likely to affect the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and adjoining areas from 7th (evening) 8th (late night) December 2020,” IMD said in its weather forecast.

Director of the Meterological department (MET) Sonum Lotus told news agency—Fast Kashmir that There is more then 70 percent chance of spell of light to moderate snow at many places of kashmir,Drass–Zojila area and the hilly areas of Jammu.

Pertinently,it is mention that Meterological department (MET)has predicted harsher winter forecast for Jammu and Kashmir (J&K),Ladakh this season.
