Srinagar, 01 December: Nearly 40.1% polling was recorded till 1pm in the second phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections in Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, with Jammu district recording the highest turnout of 61.10% and Pulwama the lowest at 6.96% so far, officials soures said.
According to news agency Fast Kashmir. 27.84℅ voting was recorded in kashmir till 1:00AM while 54.10℅ polling was recorded in Jammu.
As per the figures given by the office of state election commissioner, Kashmir division, Kupwara recorded a voting percentage of 34.44℅, Bandipora 60.99%, Baramulla 24.69%, Ganderbal 39.05%, Srinagar 28.41%, Budgam 37.72%, Pulwama 6.96%, Shopian 13.08%, Kulgam 24.34% and Anantnag 28.13% till 1pm.
Similarly, in Jammu division, Kishtwar recorded a voting percentage of 50.47%, Doda 55.82%, Ramban 57.31%, Reasi 53.67%, Udhampur 45.31%, Kathua 50.71%, Samba 57.42%, Jammu 61.10%, Rajouri 53.27% and Poonch 59.90% till 1pm.
Pertinently,it’s mention to that The state election commission KK Sharma has prohibited the conduct of any exit poll and publishing/displaying of the result of exit poll by print or electronic media till the last phase of the DDC elections.
Moreover,the results will be declared on Dec 22.
