Will bring repair time of damaged transformers to 48 hours in rural, 24 hours in urban areas: Rohit Kansal

Srinagar, Dec 11: Principal Secretary Power Rohit Kansal today said

the department is working on a system to return damaged transformers within 24 hours in Urban areas and 48 hours in rural areas.
He said this while talking to reporters in Kupwara after taking developmental review of North Kashmir districts.

He also said Delina and Magam grid stations would be commissioned by end of this year.
” It will strengthen our transmission ans distribution system and will help in providing more electricity supply to these areas. Nine projects out of 12 projects would be completed by this month in the area,” he said, “Some of them are overloade stations, they will be segregated and some will be augumnted and strengthen power distribution”,he added.

Kansal also said that department would try to revive Mohra Heritage power project.
“A small 10 MW hydropower project would be would commissioned in three months there.also ”
