Have directed officers remain stationed at headquarters: Div Com P K Pole

Srinagar, Jan 22: Ahead of the snowfall prediction, the divisional administration Kashmir has directed all the officers to stay alert and keep the men and machinery ready to tackle any post snowfall situation.

Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, P K Pole told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that he has directed the officers to stay alert at their headquarters in view of the fresh snowfall prediction.

“The officers have been directed to gear up and men and machinery ready to tackle the post snowfall situation,” he said.

Pertinently, the weatherman has predicted snow spell across J&K from January 22 evening to January 24, saying that the light to moderate snowfall would occur in plains of Kashmir while higher reaches in some areas would receive moderate to heavy snowfall.

Notably, Kashmir received heavy snowfall from January 03-05 following which the people had to face tremendous hardship as the snow clearance process took almost six days while the roadsides in Srinagar areas could still be covered with the snow.
